Seasons have a reason.

Season of Stillness - Pollinators have migrated to warmer climates, have burrowed in the earth, have completed a life cycle. Plants have died back which provides necessary food and breaks from the wind. Sounds are hushed.

Season of Rest - Shelter provides the warmth and protection from freezing temps and driving snow. For beavers, it is a lodge. For birds, nests in trees. Native bees dwell deep the earth.

Season of Reflection - Long dark nights naturally requires our shift in perceptions. All beings acclimate to sensing and perceiving in darkness. Being steeped in celestial starlight is nourishment in preparation for the return of the sun.

On-going Life is promised by the presence of Evergreens.                                                                                                   Shades of green are a reminder to trust and anticipate the return of Spring.

Winter Spirit invites us to brew and cook with one another.

One out of 3 bites of food is a direct result of the service provided by pollinators and pollination
